Have been having fun going through the book and comparing my ways of doing things to yours.  As yet I haven't used the Jean Genie.  The last pair of jeans I took up were done the day before the book arrived.  My way for sewing over the thick seams was to first give them a good press and apply my clapper to them.  I found this made it much easier for sewing over the thick seams.  I am finding the book a great help not only in finding new ways but also refreshing my memory on others.  (Well worth buying it).  I do a few repairs and alterations for a bit of pocket money.  Keeps me in threads and bits and pieces.

Just letting you know that I've found the book very useful.  I use that Taking In method in the back of stretch tops, where you add a seam right down the centre back.  Comes in handy when you lose some weight and it doesn't distort the garment on a stretch outfit.  Thanks from Rosie, Australia
