Blood on clothes

How many times do you prick your finger when you are sewing a garment?  Well it doesn’t happen all the time, but it does happen.  Blood on a garment that is white or a light colour is even more troubling, because you have to get every bit of blood out so that it doesn’t stain.

So what would you say if I said you can get the blood out with your own spit?  Well its true…..  But it MUST be your own blood and your spit.

It is amazing but it works.  You must spit on the blood on the garment as soon as you get blood on your clothes.

Let your husband or boyfriend know about this little tip.  If they nick themselves shaving and get some blood on their white work shirt.

Technique for getting your own blood off clothes.  Must be immediately blood gets on clothes.

1.  Spit onto index finger.  Make it a big spit, and of course it must be clean spit.

2.  Press your finger with spit onto the blood and hold it there for about 5 seconds.

3.  Have a look and see if the blood has gone.  If there is still some there, repeat 1 and 2 until it disappears.

Happy sewing
