How to work inside a jacket
All ladies jackets have an opening in the lining in the inside sleeve. Turn the sleeves inside out and you will see which one is stitched down on the outside. Usually it is only about 6″ of stitching. Undo and pop the jacket through. To do this put your hand inside and grab hold of the corner of the bottom front section. Then grab the opposite corner and pull through. Then grab the collar area and pull through. If the jacket fabric is thick, it may take a little bit of manueveuring to get the jacket inside out. You will find it easier to work with the jacket inside out. If you are working only on the back area, open the side seam in the lining. Do the work you have to do, then open the seam in the lining in the sleeve, pop the side seam through and sew up, then close the sleeve. This way no one will know that you where you have opened the jacket.
